He developed a 'love jones' for the rap-game at the early age of twelve, and for the past 13 years Prof_ac has spent incalculable days and nights perfecting his lyrical capability. Born Dane Minors, Prof_ac grew up in the small island of Bermuda and was raised by his Jamaican mother and Bermudian father. With his father being a good singer and having an eclectic ear for many genres of music, the musically inclined and lyrically gifted 25 year old lyricist has been encircled by music since birth. In an island where the clubs and radio airways are flooded with Caribbean music, Prof_ac gravitated more towards hip-hop. Artists such as Wu-tang, Tha Alkaholiks, Nas, Rass Kass, and Jay-Z had a considerable influence on his style and lyrical content. By the age of 15 he became serious about his craft, and at the age of 19 Prof_ac moved to New York City to pursue school and further his music career. "Music is my wife…I'm committed to it, loyal to it…I'd never leave." He is dedicated to the point that he has banned his pen and pad in hand and has committed all his lyrics mentally to his mind's notebook. Pulling inspiration from every aspect of his life, Prof_ac is hungry and determined to create his own identity that will, one day, be loved and respected by fans. Now residing in Queens Boro, the change of environment has nurtured Prof_ac mentally and musically into a better artist. Knowing his calling for years, Prof_ac is diligently crafting his future with his mental pen and pad. Over the years he's won an award in Bermuda for best rapper and has been nominated for other awards like best freestyle, best lyricist, and artist of the year. Prof_ac has performed at various showcases in the New York area, and had returned back to Bermuda to co-host the Thaunderground radio show, a local radio show in Bermuda for unsigned talent. Traveling between NYC and Bermuda, Prof_ac just recently released his first mixtape Tha Thin Line and is currently working on his album Phoenix Theory.
